Governance for Africa Joins Public Financial Management Forums

We are thrilled to announce that Governance for Africa (GFA) has been officially welcomed to join the Public Financial Management (PFM) forums in Rwanda. This significant milestone marks a new chapter in our journey towards enhancing governance and financial transparency across Africa.

Official Acceptance

In a letter dated July 22nd, 2024, our Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Cyrus Munyaburanga Nkusi, formally requested GFA’s participation in the PFM forums. We are delighted to announce that our request has been approved. The acceptance letter, penned by Mr. Richard Tusabe, the Minister of State in charge of the National Treasury, reads:

RE: Acceptance for Governance for Africa to Join Public Financial Management Forums

Reference made to your letter dated July 22nd, 2024, on behalf of Governance for Africa (GFA) requesting to join the PFM forum.

Further reference to Annex A, Article 3 ii “Participants” of MoU between the Government of Rwanda and Contributing Development Partners to PFM Basket Fund which highlights civil society organizations as standing participants to PFM Technical Working Groups.

I am pleased to accept and welcome Governance for Africa to both forums of the PFM Sector, i.e., the PFM Technical Working Group and the PFM Coordination Forum.

Looking forward to Governance for Africa’s engagement and contributions to the PFM Sector.
